Ars Technica’s mole says slimmer PS3 coming in August or Sept.

According to the website Ars Technica, don’t expect the PS3 Slim to be announce at E3!

A “very well-informed mole” and a mole with a excellent track record says that there won’t be a PS3 Slim announcement next week at E3, and that the console hit store shelves until late summer or early fall. Why? “There are plenty of PS3 systems sitting on store shelves right now,” writes Ars Technica, “and Sony is planning on sitting back and allowing the supply of those units to dry up over the summer.” Which makes alot of sense but will the current SKU drive sells?

Ars Technica also added to not expect a price cut to happen at E3, but it is still a great possibility. Many sources speculate that Sony will want to save a price drop for a big announcement at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. It seems to make better sense timing-wise, being close to the holidays. As a early summer price drop announcement could paralyze the  console sales throughout the summer.
