Metal Gear Solid: Rising won’t use MGS4 Engine

Examiner reports that Metal Gear Solid: Rising won’t be using the same engine as Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Instead, Kojima Productions is building a multiplatform one from scratch to support the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Despite some initial concerns by fans, Kojima production assure their fans that the multiplatform development won’t compromise the game’s quality in their latest podcast. In fact, Kojima Productions even promise their loyal fans that Metal Gear Solid: Rising will end up looking better than Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

It a rather big  promise, since Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is one of the best looking games so far this generation and you can even argue that it level of detail, and graphic hasn’t been match on the 360.  Comment below and tell us what you think, is it a shame that their not using the great engine they already have in place or is it better for them to build a new game engine specifically for MGS: Rising.  Comment below!
