They took out the PS2 chips that ran PS2 games to bring down the cost of manufacturing.

Now they wont need hardware to emulate the PS2 games.

This is what PC has done for decades running emulators. I play many Dreamcast games on my PC via my Emulator. PS2 is harder to emulate, you need like a core 2 duo……

Didnt sony already release a PS3 with software only PS2 emulation?Didnt they quit releasing them due to buggy emulation?
