Update: No Mandatory installation for Uncharted 2

On the boxart of Uncharted 2, you’ll find the dreaded mandatory installation size of 1.7GB. Thankfully for all of us, Naughty Dog stated that the boxart is incorrect saying that it was a typo. They did say there’s a chance the game will not have any mandatory installation, but as of now it’s unclear if that’ll happen. Whether or not it’ll be a cache installation like many other PS3 games is unknown. Update: Fortunately, Naughty Dog has just officially stated via Twitter that there will be no mandatory installation for Uncharted 2. Uncharted 2 looks up to be one of the top games of 2009.
