Killzone 2 has more than 1.5 million copies sold at retail. The surprisingly good release in Japan has help Killzone 2 break through the 1.5 million copies sold mile-stone. In the first week in Japan Killzone 2 sold as many as 42,500 copies. This is a great deal, and specially in a country where FPS games are not very popular. Of these 1.5 million people that play Killzone 2, 1.04 plays online.

The popularity of Nazi zombies is cemented forever in video game sales history thanks to Call of Duty, as Activision announces more than two million downloads of the Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1.

“Broken Steel” players are reporting on the Bethesda forums that installation of the DLC isn’t working. After the files are downloaded through the Windows Live Marketplace, the installation stops and displays the message “Not a cryptographic message or the cryptographic message is not formatted correctly. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8009200D).”

MTV Games and Harmonix have announced The Beatles: Rock Band will have two standalone guitars made available alongside the forthcoming Liverpudlian music rhythm game. The Rickenbacker 325 and Gretsch Duo Jet, played by John Lennon and George Harrison allegedly throughout their respective careers, are set to go on sale when the game launches in September for $100 bucks a pop.
