After a week of extremely high PS3 Sales, it looks like the ride is finally over, the high of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children finally ran of steam, and sales are a bit back to normal, but the PS3 still continues to out sale the Wii but by a smaller margin. I still guess many Sony fans will continue to be happy. But on the bright side Wii, PSP, and PS2 sales pick up for the week.
Yesterday in Philadelphia, a crowd of 100 marched on a mall demanding the shutdown of the “U.S. Army Experience” – a video-game based recruiting station. Seven were arrested for wearing masks.

Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter believes that we will not enter the next console generation until 2013. Investors are getting a bit worried as video game software sales seem to have peaked for the current generation. I don’t think they have, but when compared to last year, sales are down in 2009. Now, some people could freak out and start looking toward the PS4 and Xbox 720, but remain calm the economy is way down and we have to wait for it to improve.
PC World’s Game On is reporting that its “sources” have “hinted” at the storage medium for the rumored PSP Go! Refuting the claim that the device will ship with onboard Flash Storage, the blog suggests that the device will make use of the Memory Stick HG-Micro format announced at CES, although it’s not clear from the wording if that “expanded” version of the current Memory Stick Micro (pictured below) is the exact format or just an example.
Sony’s MotorStorm series is making the move to the PSP and PlayStation 2 later this year, trading in sun, sea, and sand for the freezing snow, with MotorStorm: Arctic Edge, Bigbig Studios frenzied frosty sequel.
According to the initially uploaded most recent episode of the “at1UP” podcast, Sony will soon be announcing the PSP Go!, with some of the web site’s staff having already seen the device. The podcast goes on to describes the new hardware iteration as having “slide out” or “flip out” controls, as well as a larger screen.
Namco Bandai announcing a new PSP games. Just an hour after their Tekken 6announcement, the company also revealed a brand new Soulcalibur game for the handheld. Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny is a PSP-exclusive version of Soulcalibur IV. Sadly all the Star Wars bonus characters, but in their place will stand at least one new character: Dampiere.
